Home Information Packs (HIPs) - Mortgage Lenders Proposition

Hips Direct will make all voluntary Home Information Packs available online. We will strive to make our systems compatible with any mortgage lenders requirements

Home Information Pack implementation is still in the voluntary dry run stage and there is no central database from which to access the Home Information Pack files.

Until this is available, all information held by the Hips Direct database will still be accessible to Mortgage Lenders and we have agreement from our insurers that Lenders may rely on the contents of our voluntary packs.

We hope that this will help mortgage lenders begin a trial of Home Information Packs and develop their in-house systems in readiness for mandatory introduction.

We are aware of the Governments requirement for the Home Condition Report to be available in XML format and we are also aware of the PISCES standard for information exchange during the conveyance process.

Both standards form an integral part of our IT solution.
